Hey, I'm Stephen
PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER BASED IN NORTH CAROLINA
Thank you for visiting my website! Here's a small blurb about my experience with photography.
My first interest in photography arose from long adventures outside as a teenager. I started doing photography with my father's old Canon T-3 Rebel, collecting pictures of beautiful flowers and wildlife. Since then, I have found interest in photographing the talents of people. Throughout my life, I have been introduced to different forms of diversity, including international folk-dance groups through the Folkmoot International Dance Festival.
Throughout my time at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I have come in contact with a variety of diverse individuals, from astronomers to musicians, and from studio artists to biochemical engineers. My goal for photography is to provide images that fully represent their passion.
I will be taking photos for Folkmoot yet again this year! Click this link to go to the collection of photos from this great festival.
This page contains images from my second year taking pictures for the Folkmoot International Dance Festival.
"Stephen Wenzel displays a talent for photographer well above his teen years. A 2018 graduate of Tuscola High School who is headed for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Stephen literally grew up in Folkmoot."
My roots (pun intended) with photography started out with nature photography in the Great Smoky Mountains. Visit this link to check out my gallery that includes sunsets, birds, and mountains.
